On my 22nd birthday, 1/28/13, I knew it was time to finally get a tattoo and conquer my fear! Since the beginning, I have been a fan of McFly. 9 years of being an American fan and I finally was able to attend the 9/13 show at Gramercy in NYC. It was, honestly and easily, the best day of my life. Now I cried basically the whole time but for some reason when they played The Heart Never Lies I cried the most. It was so moving. So from that I decided to get this tattoo to honor McFly, the greatest band of all time, and to remember that moment of my life. McFly is a true inspiration and I’m proud to call myself a Galaxy Defender. :)♡

I’ve been wanting to get McFly lyrics tattooed for many years, but always postponed it cause I could find the perfect one for me. Until I listened to Love is easy for the first time. I agree SO MUCH with everything it says that I knew that would stay with me forever. I’m fascinated with my tattoo and every time I look at it it cheers me up and makes me happy with what it means. =D

I’ve been a McFly fan for over 7 years now, and I knew as soon as I was old enough I wanted to get lyrics of theirs tattooed on me. When my 18th birthday finally came, my brothers and sister paid for me to get it. I decided to get “Dream It All Away”. The reason behind it was because I’d been dealing with a lot for the past few years such as anxiety, etc, and McFly always kept me sane and positive. No matter how hard my day was, I knew that when I went to sleep, I could forget all about it and essentially dream away all my problems. I owe those boys a lot and this is one of my favourite tattoos I have.

I’ve known for many years now that at some point in my life I wanted to get a McFly tattoo. I’ve been listening to their music for about six years now and they’ve been a huge part of my childhood/young adulthood, and I know they will continue to be a big part of my life for a long time.

This particular image was chosen because it not only represents my love for McFly and their music, but it also represents my love for music in general, singing specifically.

The boys finally played a few shows here in the U.S. late last year and I was lucky enough to attend one of the shows in L.A., and also happened to meet 3/4 of them; unfortunately, I did not have my tattoo yet at that time, so they did not get to see it, but having this tattoo will always remind me of that day, and as they are coming back this year sometime I will hopefully get the chance to see them again. (:

This year, in August, as all fans know, McFly celebrates another year of life. Only it’s not another year, it’s THE year. 10 years that these four clowns came into our lives (ok, hardly anyone is a fan from the beginning, but still), it’s a date for any particular hyper Galaxy Defender, whether man, woman, Brazilian, Argentinian, British… Why not doing something incredible to do homage to them? Why not uniting the whole world and make a flash mob? It’s an ambitious idea, we know, but we have time to do it with the necessary support and we know we will get there.

We need representatives from each country in order to promote our goal, and the more people participating, the better.

We want to do this project with fans all over the place and for that to happen, you have to help spreading this post.

We created a group on facebook, and everyone should join the group, click HERE to join the group and those who are interested in representing your country must notify there.

Any new idea is welcome.

Este año, en agosto, como todos los fans saben, McFly festeja otro año de vida. Pero no es un año más, es EL año. 10 años que estos cuatro payasos llegaron a nuestras vidas (bueno, casi nadie es un fan desde el principio, pero aún así), es una fecha especial para cualquier hiper Galaxy Defender, ya sea hombre, mujer, brasileñ@, argentin@, británic@… ¿Por qué no hacer algo increíble para homenajearlos? ¿Por qué no unir a todo el mundo y hacer un flash mob? es una idea ambiciosa, lo sabemos, pero tenemos un año para hacerlo, con el apoyo necesario y sabemos que vamos a llegar allí.

Necesitamos representantes de cada país a fin de promover nuestra meta, y cuantos más participantes, mejor.

Queremos hacer este proyecto con fans de todo el mundo, y para que eso ocurra, vos tenés que ayudar a difundir este mensaje.

I have been with McFly since the very start, and The heart never lies is one of my favourite songs. I always get tearful when I hear it and the quote in general has a lot of meaning. I thought why not get an amazing song lyrics from my favourite band tattooed on my body for life, it shows how much they mean to me. I also got it on my ribs as its close to my heart :) I love those boys a lot, they’re great musicians great friends and just amazing, and the heart never lies.

I got this tattoo on November and it was my first tattoo ever. I chose this quote cause last year I went through difficult times and this song saved my life. McFly is my favorite band since 2007 and they always remind me that I should smile, no matter what. And now, I can remember this forever!
